Wisdom says that a new blog should post regularly, say weekly, to ensure it does not lose what little audience it may have. Our travelling and my own timetable is less amenable to this approach than I would like, so I will post irregularly with posts coming and going as trips come and go. I have no intention of taking up time on our travels to work on posts – for me travel is for experiencing and for relaxing.
I will try to publicise upcoming posts on the social media feeds that I use. Currently these are Instagram (the home for most photographer and photography-related content), Facebook and, because it is linked to these two, Threads. Because of concerns about the corporates that operate these and other social media sites, there is also a BlueSky social media account which I have not, as yet, started to post to in earnest.

I have recently refreshed the News and Travel Planning sections of the website.
The month of September saw the delayed trip to the south-west of the United States. The result will be a multi-post piece, which I plan to finish in early December. The road trip took in the National Parks of southern Utah, the human and geographic diversity of the Navajo Nation, a brush along Route 66, the deep heat of Death Valley and the culture of the Mormon centre of Salt Lake City.
