In the spring of 2021, still feeling constrained by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, my walking took on a more coherent form of walking stretches of the London loop of the Grand Union Canal from the Thames at Limehouse (where it is known as the Regent’s Canal) to its conjunction of that same river at Brentford. The Regent’s Canal becomes the Paddington Arm at a more-or-less midway point at Little Venice. The images are my diaristic documenting of those walks through places as diverse as Bethnal Green, King’s Cross, Camden, Regent’s Park, Paddington, Southall and Hanwell. The images here are taken from that section of the Regent’s Canal between Regent’s Park and Little Venice.
